For some people it won’t be too difficult to remember that the majority of food available was very much based upon seasonality. Whether it was home grown or produce available in small local grocery shops. Today we’ve got so much choice; it’s very difficult to determine what’s in season and what’s really not.

Whilst environmental issues such as food miles and traceability has encouraged consumers to consider changing their buying and dietary habits, many high profile people, such as Celebrity Chefs and Lifestyle Guru’s highlight the freshness and nutritional values of eating on a seasonal basis.
